James Louis Schofield was born on July 6, 1953, to the union of the late Louis and Carrie B. Schofield. He was called home to glory on June 21, 2019.
He attended the public schools of Camden, South Carolina. James worked at Skyline Manufacturing for many years and later became employed with Dave's Nature Scape for several years.
To know James was to love him. He could always be found in Kirkwood or at home wearing a black skull cap with was his trademark. One of things he loved doing was to swing dance with his sisters.
In the summer of 2015, his special and dear "Scho Dawg" flew him to several months to enjoy and fellowship with his family and friends. What a great time James had, he talked about it for months.
Those left to cherish his memories and celebrate his homegoing are his two children, James D. Woods and Sheila D. Woods; grandchildren Vasquez, Coreon and Isiaha all of Lugoff, SC; a great-grandson, Kamari Woods; four sisters, Shirley Massey, Roberta Schofield, Helen Schofield, Margie Clark and Virginia M. Belton (James); one brother, Thomas Jake Schofield (Delois) all of Camden, SC, one uncle, Josh Schofield of Camden, SC.
