Mr. Willie Caldwell, the son of the late Andrew and Helen Caldwell, was born in Rembert, South Carolina, on July 4, 1947.
Willie was a loving and quiet husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was employed with the SC Department of Transportation in Bishopville for over thirty years before retiring.
At an early age, Willie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and joined the Springhill United Methodist Church in Rembert, SC. He later joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Bishopville, SC, where he served on the Deacons Ministry, Godly Men Ministry and the Men’s Choir.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Andrew and Helen Caldwell; one brother, Ernest Caldwell and one uncle, Beaufort Caldwell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wonderful wife of twenty-two years, Rev. Mary Caldwell; one son, Chantel (Gloria) Snells of Sumter, SC; five sisters, Susanna Marshall, Dorothy Mae Wilson, Mary Reddick, Juanita Caldwell, Geneva Caldwell and Luvenia (Richard) Dix; two brothers, James (Rena) Caldwell and Alex (Loretta) Caldwell; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren ; one God-daughter, Renee (Tony) Givens and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
