Mr. Abraham Benjamin Wade, son of the late Ezekiel Wells and Mamie Wade Johnson, was born on September 17, 1947, in Kershaw County, South Carolina.
Abraham was educated in the Kershaw County Public Schools System. He entered the United States Army in 1967 and served faithfully in the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge, he settled in Camden, South Carolina. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. He worked for Skyline for almost two decades. He was formerly employed at Florence Concrete in Sumter, South Carolina. He had a passion for his pigs, baseball and his motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by Hattie, Salley and York Wade.
Abraham leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of forty-six years, Josiefeene S. Wade of Camden, SC; a daughter, Lakeshia (Fredrick) Epperson of Camden, SC; a son, Donte` Grant of Camden, SC; two brothers, John (Vivian) Nelson and Chick (Mae Francis) Wells both of Camden, SC; one sister, Annette Wells-Fuller of Maryland; a granddaughter, Eliqua Missouri; a grandson, Michael Rufus; five sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
