Mr. Lemuel James “Lemmie Joe” Joe, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Kershaw Health Hospice, in Camden, South Carolina. He was born on September 24, 1953, in Bishopville, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Lemuel J. Joe, Sr. and Lois McDonald Joe.
Lemuel was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County Schools. He played football for Camden High School. Shortly after high school, he enlisted I the United States Army. After basic training, due to health reasons, Lemuel was medically discharged from the United Stated Army. Lemuel worked for DuPont and Camden Military Academy.
Lemuel was united in Holy matrimony in 1977, to the love of his life, the late Patricia Murphy. Lemuel loved spending time with family and friends, making them laugh, playing cards and showing off how strange he was while having a good time.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Joe.
Lemuel leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his precious memories his son, Marvin Walker of Cassatt, SC; four grandchildren, Laquisha Wright, Ranchelett Alexander, Isaiah Wood and Elise Alexander all of Camden, SC; two sisters, Brenda Toney of Columbia, SC and Shirley Ann Allen of Camden, SC; a special niece, Angela D. McClester of Columbia, SC; special nephews, LaJuane D Allen of Tennessee, Victor L. McClester of Oklahoma and Dantuane L. Wright of Columbia, SC all reared in the home with the deceased and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving relatives and caring friends.
