On August 5, 2019, the Lord decided it was time to reward one of His servants with a promotion from his temporary assignment here on Earth, to a permanent position in Heaven.
Mallie Lew Johnson was born on December 6, 1962, to the late George and Rebecca Johnson.
Mallie graduated from Camden High School in 1981. He joined the United States Army and served from 1981 until 1988. He served as a Food Service Specialist, in which he received several awards. He also was the Food Service Supervisor for the Lee County Correctional Facility. Mallie was also an OTR Truck Driver for many years until forced into retirement because of medical issues.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Lewis Johnson.
Mallie leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Malachi Lewis Johnson of the home; a very special friend, Darlene Jones; one sister, Betty Chestnut of Camden, SC; five brothers, George Johnson of Elgin, SC, Samuel Johnson of Theodore (Virginia) Johnson and Harry L. Johnson all of Camden, SC and Richard Johnson of Cassatt, SC; three aunts, Daisy B. Jenkins and Mary Lee Johnson both of Bishopville, SC and Cora Lee Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; one uncle, Royal LeRoy Dixon, Sr. of Camden, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
