Beatrice Linda Tention was born on July 18, 1958, in Camden, South Carolina, to jessie M McKenney. She transitioned on Thursday, March 21 2024.
Beatrice graduated from Camden High School and went on to finishing school at Central Carolina. She owned an operated her own business. BT’s lasting touch. She also put her accounting degree to use working her way up the ranks to become a loan officer at Safe Federal Credit Union. She was a woman of many talents, but her best talent was taking care of her family. Without a grunt or second thought, anytime we needed her she was there. There was nothing she couldn’t fix, earning her the nickname, Bob the Builder. She was always taking care of others, never selfish all the way until the end and even going to feed the sick and shut-in. In every moment, you will be remembered with love, you were not just a friend you were family living on and our mind and hearts. The world has lost a true gem and heaven has gained a beautiful soul. May you find eternal peace.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Tention, her three children, Antwon Tention, Charlene Tention and Chester Tention; her mother, Jesse Redden; her sisters, Theresa Walker and Alesasha Redden; her brother, Matthew Redden; a sister-in-law, Sherrill Tention; a honorary sister-in-law, Lorrie Vanagas; a nephew, Lamar Tention; a niece, Kayla Tention; her best friend, Patricia Brisbon; a god-sister, Sherrell C. Bazemore and a host of relatives and friends.
