Carl Brown Obituary

Carl Brown was born on November 5, 1954, to Alberta King and the late Roosevelt Dixon, Sr. He was raised in the loving home of the late Cleophus and Helen Brown who took him in as their own. He is honored as a kind, giving, helpful, and dependable man. He graduated from Bishopville High School, where he was well know for his athletic and musical abilities. He was employed from a very early age as a manufacturing worker, from which he retired in the year of 2021. He dedicated himself to providing for his family and serving in many function at St. Matthew Baptist Church. He was a man of compassionate character, and a pure heart, who wanted to help and support others in any way he could. His words and his actions were driven and motivated by love. He couldn’t see anyone suffering and not feel the need to help.

   

Carl was reunited in Heaven with Cleophus and Helen Brown, Major King, and Roosevelt Dixon, Sr. His passing was preceded by those of: his sister, Willie Mae Dixon; his brothers, Cleophus Brown, Leroy Dixon, and Roosevelt (Billy) Dixon, Jr.; his mother-in-law, Rosa Lee Smith; his brother-in-law, Jerry Smith; his sisters-in-law, Michelle Smith and Lillie Bell Brown; and his niece, Necole Marshall.

   

Surviving to treasure his memory are: one son, Carlos Brown (Simone); one daughter, Jessica Eze (Anthony); his mother, Alberta King; four sisters, Margie Bell, Rhonda Johnson (Reginald), Helen Mack (Jerridore), and Vivian Belton; six brothers, Aaron Brown (Nellie), Donald King (Sandra), Harry Brown (Jannie), Major Lee King (Barbara), Jimmy Brown (Rosa), and Theodore Brown (Ellen); three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
