Crystal Lynn Bowman, daughter of the late Stanley Lewis Bowman and the late Rev. Celia Lyles Bowman, was born on May 20, 1980, in Camden SC. Crystal departed this life at her home on January 1, 2021.
Crystal Bowman attended the public schools of Kershaw County. She received her Associates in Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix and worked several jobs throughout her young life until her health no longer allowed her to be able to work. Her passion was always saving those less fortunate and taking care of animals. To know her was to love her.
Crystal Bowman joined Green Hill Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. She was a part of the Sunbeam Choir, The Usher Board, The BJ Carter Singers, and Youth Choir Director at Green Hill. She also traveled and sang with the Sisters in Christ and Gospel Serenity for many years performing at many venues.
Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents and both fraternal grandparents and her maternal grandfather.
Crystal leaves to cherish her fond memories, her fiancée Antonio Sanders; three wonderful sons, Kahmeel Cook, Tramarial Cooke and Malachi Clark; two sisters, Kymberly Harris of Columbia SC and Lanita Bowman of Columbia SC; two brothers, Anthony Nelson of Columbia SC and Jonathan Nelson of Columbia SC; her grandmother, Ms. Lillie Lyles of Elgin, SC; six nephews; three nieces; one great-nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family members that she has adopted over the years, all of whom will miss her dearly.
