David Lloyd Johnson

David Lloyd Johnson, son of Lloyd Johnson and the late Mary Belle Johnson, was born October 22nd, 1961, in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

He graduated from Monmouth Regional High School (Class of ‘79) and attended Technical Training School where he developed his woodworking and electrical skills. He professed Christ and was baptized in 2016.

An accomplished carpenter, David designed custom furniture pieces which he gifted to loved ones and went on to sell through his business, Wood Tones. A jack-of-all-trades, he went on to work in a variety of industries to which he applied his eye for design and excellence. He later earned a degree from the University of Phoenix in Networking in 2013.

David married Cathy Graves in 2001. In 2002,  they welcomed their son, David Lorenzo Johnson (DJ), into the world.

David enjoyed movies from all eras, bowling, good food, dancing, and technology. He was always ready to try something new and partook in unique events... such as attempting to set the world record for the largest chocolate chip cookie. He was also able to turn misadventures into hilarious tales - like the time he saw a UFO in Texas. He loved to travel and frequent theme parks with his loved ones (especially his mother and sister).

David was a gifted designer who could transform mundane spaces into something beautiful. Both generous and easy-going, he expressed love through gift giving and planning trips with his loved ones. Throughout his life, David made friends with his easy laugh and kind nature.

David entered into his final rest on Saturday October 8th, 2022. He leaves behind loving family and the various friends he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
