Evangelist Mollie (Givens) Brooks

Evangelist Mollie Givens Brooks was born on July 16, 1946, in Camden South Carolina, to the late Charlie and Lillie Givens. She departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2010 and her home in Camden, South Carolina.

Evangelist Brooks graduated from Westside High School in Newark, New Jersey.  Upon graduation, she attended and graduated from Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. 
She retired from governmental law enforcement, NCI.  She was a member of the Church of God in Jesus Christ in Newark, New Jersey, where she served in various capacities. 

She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Givens, Jr. and one sister, Vivian Givens.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Sam E. Brooks; one daughter, Wanda Brooks; a son, Rydell Brooks; a granddaughter, Queene Reed; a nephew she raised as a son, Quentin Givens; a niece, Denise Brooks; a brother, Eugene Givens; a sister, Gwendolyn Forbes and a host of other relatives and friends.
