Hattie Marie Tucker Simon

On Sunday, October 4, 2020, our beloved mother, Hattie Marie Davis Tucker was invited by the Lord to continue her journey with fellow angels to his kingdom.

Hattie was born on August 15, 1949, in Camden, SC to Simon and Geneva Davis.  At an early age, she joined Saint Luke Baptist Church in Camden, South Carolina where she remained a member.

Hattie was a graduate of Jackson High School.  She furthered her education and became a nurse at Kershaw County Medical Center, where she dedicated her life from 1974 to 2013.  Hattie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed having her family and friends around to enjoy her cooking,  join in fellowship and enjoy family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Davis; father, Simon Davis; three sisters, Lottie Mae Davis Green, Flora Davis Grooms and Ora Lee Brisbon and one brother, Clifton  Mack. 

Hattie leaves to cherish her life one daughter, Debbie T. Tucker of Fayetteville, NC; three sons, Simon A. Tucker of Columbia, SC, Richard Tucker, Jr. of Cassatt, SC and William L. Tucker of Fayetteville, NC; a sister-in-law, Lateisha Lewis; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Rose Dinkins of Bronx, NY; a special niece, Crystal L. Bain of Camden, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends..
