Deaconess Odessa Adamson Bennett, daughter of Sammy Patterson and Annie Adamson of Camden, South Carolina, was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina, on August 4, 1946. She peacefully departed her life on January 8, 2022.
She graduated from Jackson High School, where she played and loved basketball. Her favorite teams were the Lakers, Warriors and her Lady Gamecocks. She was employed at the Little Midget Restaurant, Pinedale Residential Center and the Kershaw County Board of Disability, where she retired.
At an early age, she joined and was baptized at Sweet Home Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess, member of the Young Adult Choir and Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Adamson and her father, Sammy Patterson.
Those left to cherish her fond memories are her husband, Michael Bennett of the home; her two children, Michael (Evon) Adamson and Jennifer Bennett both of Camden, SC; her grandchildren, Von Stuckey, Michael Jay Adamson and Zaria Bennett; four great-grandchildren, Kennedy Young, Hayden Adamson, Gianni Adamson and Jayliana Adamson; two brothers, Sammy Adamson, Sr. And Charlie Adamson both of Camden, SC; six sisters-in-law, Pearl Bennett, Alberta Bennett, Nettie McClendon and Linda Bennett all of Camden, SC, Vivian Barnes and Carolyn Houston both of Mt. Vernon, NY, two aunts, Dorothy Adamson (Special Aunt) and Dorothy Kibler both of Camden, SC; two goddaughters, Renee Adamson of Camden, SC and Kyandra Simmons of Columbia, SC; a special cousin/caregiver, Diane Adamson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
