Ralph Edgefield Miller

Ralph Edgefied Miller, the fourth of eight children born to Edgefield and Iva Belton Miller, was born October 15, 1948 and he entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2021.

Ralph was a baptized member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He served in The United States Army from October 27, 1970 to September 8, 1972. Ralph attended Claflin University, Orangeburg, South Carolina and Columbia College, Columbia, South  Carolina. 

He  is preceded in death by his sisters, Helen M. Mills, Dorothy M. Engram and his brother, John D. Miller.

Those left with fond memories to cherish are his wife, Doris Carter Miller; his son, Dontrell Edgefield Miller (Shanice); step-daughter, Dionne Carter (Rashae); brother-in-law, Eugene Gary; and six grandchildren.

Ralph will be missed and always remembered by his remaining siblings, Alice M. Alexander, Nehemiah M. Glee, Iva M. Lyles, and youngest brother, William O. Miller (Dollie); as well as his nieces and nephews who loved “Uncle Ralph”.
He will also be missed and lovingly remembered by his lifelong friends, Kenneth and Ann Anderson, also his many relatives and friends that were close to him throughout his life.
