Tawanna "Auntie Wanda" Michelle Douglas was born on March 4, 1972, to the late Rufus Lee Douglas and Ruby Lee Douglas, in Washington, DC. On October 9, 2020. God called her home from labor to rest.
Auntie Wanda as she was known by many, was a graduate of Camden, High School. Wanda was a loving, outgoing and the life of the party and never met a stranger. Wherever she went, there was nothing but love and laughter. Whenever anyone needed anything, she would be the first to ask, "can I help with anything." Wanda was a caregiver to many throughout her years and worked at the Camden Seafood.
Auntie Wanda was preceded in death in death in addition to her parents, Rufus Lee Douglas and Ruby Lee Douglas; her maternal grandparents, Tom and Henrietta Burns; two beloved aunts, Helen J. Bush and Geneva Burns; an uncle, Albert "AB" Burns and three close cousins, Edward Richardson, Don Richardson and Kent Richardson.
Auntie Wanda leaves to cherish her fond memories and celebrate her homegoing; one sister, LaTanya (Glenn) Douglas-Bellamy; her nieces and nephew, Tanisha "Pie" Douglas, Brandon "Red Money" Service, Erika "Tweety-Bird" Service, Anita "Lil Gal" Outten all of Camden, SC; two uncles, Thomas (Joyce) Burns of Maryland and Alston Burns of Virginia; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Zyla, Dallas, Harmony, Landen and Draylen; her honorary beloved children, Theodore Robertson, Justin Robertson, Kimberly McGee and Benjamin McGee, Jr.; a beloved brother-in-law, Melvin "Goat" Service; a longtime special friend, Michael Gilmore and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
