Tremayne Laront Greene (Sweet Tree) was born on October 30, 1971 in Bronx, NY to Virginia Greene and the late Willie Reid III. On February 25, 2024, God gently closed Tremayne’s loving eyes and whispered, “Peace Be Thine.”
Tremayne was educated in the Kershaw County School System and was a 1990 graduate of Camden High School. He worked in retail for many years and took great pride in working as a store manager for the last twelve years of his life. Tremayne made it no secret that he was an avid fan of the University of South Carolina and Notre Dame football, Dallas Cowboys and Duke basketball. Anyone who knew Tremayne, knew how much he loved his family.
Tremayne was preceded in death by his father Willie Reid III, Gladys Greene-Lee (known as his second mother) as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, and relatives.
Tremayne leaves cherished memories to his mother, Virginia Greene of Camden, SC; a brother, Marty Greene of Camden, SC; two nephews, Jaaron Greene and Jaamon Greene of Charlotte, NC; his grandmother, Rebecca Reid of Columbia, SC; two sisters of his heart, LaMonica Lee-Martin (Rodney) of Atlanta, GA and Nytisha Lee-Wright (Khary) of Raleigh, NC; two nieces of his heart, Kinslee Martin of Atlanta, GA and Tiyanna Groom of Camden, SC; his aunts, Mattie Greene-Allen and JoAnne Greene-McEachern (Bill) both of New York, NY, Lula Greene and Edith Greene both of Camden, SC, Diane Solomon and Barbara Reid both of Columbia, SC; uncles, John Wesley Greene, Jr. (Hattie) of Camden, SC and Melvin Reid of Columbia, SC; great-aunt, Edith Brevard of Hyattsville, MD; great-uncles, John Johnson and Fred Johnson both of Camden, SC; god-mother: Marietta Carlos-Giddens of Columbia, SC; god-daughter, Myla McClure of Camden, SC; god-sister, Shakeila Stuckey-James of Greenville, SC; bonus aunts, Joanne Vaughn of Dalzell, SC and Barbara Spann of Lugoff, SC; special friend: Lenia Segura of New Orleans, LA.
