Willie "Bubbie" Carroll

Willie “Bubbie” Carroll was born on June 22, 1951 in Sumter County, South Carolina to the late Joseph and Tressie Mae Carroll.  He was affectionately known as “Bubbie”.

He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.  He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County, South Carolina.

Bubbie moved to Orlando, Florida at an early age.  He was employed at Mid-Florida Pool Company for many years. He also worked as a part-time mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Tressie Mae Carroll and one brother, Hazil “Bobby” Carroll. 

He leaves to cherish his fond memories one son, Kevin Barnes of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters: Pamela Starks of Lancaster, California and Jonita Simmons of Lithonia, Georgia; his former wife, Valleria Starks of Stone Mountain, Georgia; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  He also leaves eight sisters: Josephine (Johnny) Brown of Newport, Rhode Island; Betty Jean Carroll, Gladys Dennis, Rebecca Stover, Sandra Moses and Virginia Sullivan all of Camden, South Carolina; Dianne Durden of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Cynthia (Douglas) Lee of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; a bonus sister, Jackie Williams of Eatonville, Florida; two aunts: Mary Lee Brantley of Tampa, Florida and Diana Miller of Long Beach, California; and a godmother, Betty Jean Jones of Orlando, Florida.  He also leaves special friends: Linda Powell and Mattie Gibbons of Orlando, Florida, his Florida buddies and a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.
