On July 30, 2020, Aaron departed this life for an eternity of peace at Lexington Medical Center, in Lexington, South Carolina. Aaron was born on July 4, 1945, in Camden, South Carolina, to the late Paul and Frances Nelson.
Aaron attended Jackson High School and then moved to Plainfield, New Jersey. He worked at Pitney Bowes in New Jersey for twenty years. He also was a truck driver for another ten years.
In 2000, Aaron found his way back to the Lord. He was a faithful member joining the Usher Board and singing on the Male Choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cat Nelson and a brother-in-law, Billy Couthen.
Aaron leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-one years, Ellen McCord Nelson; one son, Darryl (Stephanie) Nelson of Camden, SC; two daughters, Millicent (Donald) Alexander of Lugoff, SC and Tammy Nelson of Camden, SC; two grandchildren, Promize Daryl Nelson and Tavion Maurice Nelson; two sisters, Catherine Couthen and Shirley Stuckey; three brothers, Ernest (Josephine) Nelson, John (Vivian) Nelson and Glen (Glenda) Nelson; a mother-in-law, Elease Williams; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
