Once again God has called home one of his children to rest around his thrown. Mr. Abraham Brown departed this life unexpectedly on July 1, 2020, at his home in Camden, South Carolina. He was born on April 9, 1935, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Murdock and Mattie Williams Brown.
Abraham was educated in the Kershaw County Public School System but later left to finish his high school education in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Abraham joined the United States Marine Corps and received his basic training at Paris Island South Carolina. Later, he was transferred to Camp Lejeune North Carolina and ended his stint in the military at Quantico, Virginia in 1956.
Abraham was preceded in death by two daughters, Sabrina Nelson and Chaka Khan Brown; two brothers, Murdock Brown and Lorenzo Brown and a brother-in-law, Willie Lyles, Sr.
Abraham leaves to cherish his fond memories and celebrate his home going, his wife, Georgia Chambers Brown; two sons, Michael (Adelia) Brown of North Carolina and Reginald (Cherly) Brown of Washington; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister Juanita Brown Lyles of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, William (Mary) Brown of Long Island, New York and Wyatt A. Brown of Columbia, SC; three sisters-in-law, Ola Mae Williams of Charlotte, NC, Mary Elizabeth Brown of Camden, SC and Carolyn Chambers of Pageland, SC; four brothers,-in-law, Lonnie Chambers, Billy Chambers, James Chambers and Charlie Chambers all of Pageland, SC; two aunts, Dorothy (Fred) Kelly and Bernice Norwood both of Camden, SC; one uncle, Thomas Williams of Blythewood, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
