Abraham Lyles, Sr.

Mr. Abraham Lyles, Sr. was born  on October 17, 1940, to the late Lewis Lee Lyles and Celia Watkins Lyles, in Kershaw County, South Carolina. He entered in to eternal life on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home in Elgin, South Carolina.    

Abraham accepted Christ and was a member of James Chapel AME Church in Lugoff, South Carolina.  He was educated in the public schools on Kershaw County.  He was married to Ronella Dean Lyles.

In 1970, he moved to Washington, DC, where he was employed at Blake Construction for many years.  He retired in 2005 and moved back to Elgin, South Carolina.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, her children, Bobbie Lyles of South Carolina, Abraham (Tracey) Lyles, Jr., Christopher Lyles, Hope Evette Lyles, Shannon Hamilton all of Washington, DC and Tianca (Davon) Lyles great-grandchildren; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph (Lottie) Lyles of  South Carolina and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
