“For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Alice Frances McCaskill was born on October 19, 1926, to the late Marie Caldwell and Lonnie Williams both of Bethune, South Carolina. On December 27, 2022, God called His beloved angel home for her eternal rest, where He has prepared her mansion and streets paved with gold, celebrating everyday like Sunday.
Alice was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Bethune, South Carolina, where she accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She loved to sing, sew, fish, spend time with her children and grandchildren, talk trash and always had a comeback for everything. She also loved reading her Bible and the love that she had for her family was an everlasting love. Every person she crossed paths with knew that she was a kind, loving and generous person. Some called her “Rabbit,” some called her “Red,” but she was best known as Grandma.
Our precious mother/grandma was preceded in death by her husband, Louis McCaskill; two sons, Willie James McCaskill and Robert Louis McCaskill.
Her loving memory will always be cherished by her daughter, Vernell Blackmon of Charleston, SC, Dianne Hough of Elgin, SC and Mary Bracey of Hartsville, SC; her son, Lonnie (Mary Frances) McCaskill of Columbia, SC; eighteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other close relatives and friends.
