Chester (Leon) Mills

Chester Leon Mills “Fatz” was born April 26, 1971 in Manhattan, New York to Chester Mills and the late Helen Miller Mills. On March 29, 2024 Leon took his last breath with his daughter, De’Sha, at his side.

A part of Leon’s early education was in the Kershaw County School System, but his education was finished at George Washington High School in New York.

On April 28, 2013 Leon made the decision to give his life to Jesus, be baptized and become a member of the body of Christ.

He leaves loving and cherished memories to his father, Chester Mills of New York; his daughter, De’Sha Leondra, of Columbia, SC (her fiancée, Zeke Walker, his granddaughter, Emersyn Jade and De’Sha’s mom, Dana Brown); four sisters, Adrienne Miller (“Bruh” in-law Vernon) of Camden, SC; Felecia Harris (Ruben) of Grovetown, GA, Shenell Mills of NY; and Lydia Mills of PA; maternal uncle, William Miller (Dollie) of Columbia, SC; paternal uncle, James Mills of Danbury, CT. Leon was preceded in death by his uncles, Madison Mills, Ralph and John Miller; maternal aunts, Alice Alexander of Hampton, VA; Iva Lyles and Nehemiah Glee, Dorothy Engram (deceased) of Camden, SC. Paternal aunts Dot Blair of NY; Lottie Mills of MD and his five God children.

All of his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends will miss and remember him.
