Clifton Leonard, Jr was born on November 29, 1946, in Boykin, South Carolina. Clifton was the son of the late Mother Daisy Carter and Clifton Leonard, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mother Daisy C Leonard, father, Clifton Leonard, Sr.; two sisters, Edith ‘Mook’ Caverl and Marie Frances Leonard; twin brothers, Hillie and Lannie Leonard and a nephew George Grant.
Pete, as he was known by all, received his education in the Kershaw County School System. He was employed by Mills Electric and Bethesda Presbyterian Church, where he retired from after fifteen years.
Being reared in a Christian home, he received his early teachings at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and under the guidance of his mother his returned for later teachings at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church under the leadership of Dr. Aurelio D. Givens, Worship Leader.
Pete took the most pride in his time he spent helping to care for his mother. You could always find him at her side or on guard on the porch enjoying his Fish.

On March 4, 2020, the Lord concluded Pete’s work on earth and he entered eternal rest at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories and spirit, a loving son, Eric Anderson; one brother, Lee "Jack" Leonard; three sisters, Daisy Mae Engram, Reatha L. Johnson, and Delores Grant all of Camden, SC; two grandchildren, Brianna and Trinity Anderson of Camden, SC; six nephews, Lemont Leonard, raised alongside him in the home, of Camden, SC, Jackie Johnson of Columbia, SC, Jermaine (Krystal) Nelson of Elgin, SC, Jason Leonard of Columbia, SC; Alfred Caverl of Washington DC and Sam Grant of Camden, SC; seven nieces, Thomasina Kirkland of Lugoff, SC, Deloris Bailey of Bluffton, SC, Denise (John) Bennett of Lugoff, SC, Michelle (George) Anderson of Columbia, SC, Crystal Leonard of Camden, SC, Clarissa Grant of Tampa, FL and Marsiah Grant of Sumter, SC; a devoted companion, Ruth Carter and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
