Mr. Donald Belton was born to Walter Belton, Sr. and Viola M. Belton on April 24, 1962, in Camden, South Carolina.
He was educated in the public school system and graduated from North Central High School in 1980. Donald joined the National Guard his junior year. He worked at Camden Builder’s Supply as a faithful employee for over 30 years.
Donald was a devoted member of Good Hope AME Zion Church, where he served in various capacities such as, Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School, Usher, the Junior Choir, the Male Choir President and as a Trustee.
Donald was survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Ann Belton; three children, Monica, Hyman and Donovan; his parents, Walter (Viola) Belton, Sr.; four brothers, and four sisters, Walter (Oree) Jr., John (Angie), Willie (Denise), Gilbert (Vanessa) Brenda, Rowena(McElveen) Jones, Dolores Dais, Edwina (Frank) Harmon; his grandsons, AJ and Amari Thompson, one brother-in-law, Ernest (Judith) McCollom; two aunts, Pearline Williams and Nettie James; one uncle, Bernie McClinton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
