Drexter Devon Bostick, oldest son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Jenkins) Bostick of Rembert, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest at the age of 51, Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Camden, South Carolina.
He was born on December 11, 1973, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He resided in New Jersey until the age of 15, where he was educated in the public school system. Upon relocating to Rembert, South Carolina, he continued his education in Sumter County School District 2, going on to graduate from Hillcrest High School in 1993.
After graduation, Drexter opted to enter the workforce. He began his journey with Marshall Landscaping completing a variety of corporate landscaping projects throughout South Carolina. Additionally, he was employed at DANA Incorporated where he manufactured commercial vehicle drivetrains. Finally, he earned his commercial drivers’ license and joined the family business as Co-owner & operator of DE&J Enterprises. He continued his career in transportation until his untimely passing. Drexter was an avid sports fan and rooted for the Boston Celtics. Known for his quiet and laid-back demeanor, Drexter was a gentle giant who always had a smile on his face.
Drexter was preceded in death by his parents and newborn son, Raekwon Bostick.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Blayden Bostick and his mother, Samantha English Bostick of Florence, SC; two brothers, Kejuan Bostick of Rembert, SC and Rashard Bostick of Orangeburg, SC; a sister, Tara Thompson of Selma, AL; his aunts, Mary Ann Green, Marshall Garvin, Georgia Mae (Craig) Beckett, Bertha Smart all of Estill, SC, Josephine Ritter of Atlanta, GA,; his uncles Henry Bostick, Jr., Herbert Bostick, Timothy Bostick, also of Estill,SC, Edith Dickey of Newark, NJ and Thomascina (Herbert) Bennett of Rembert, SC. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jamiah & JaCory Thompson and Brailey & Sir Bostick. He will be deeply missed by a number of cousins, friends, the community, and co-workers.
