Eddie Johnson, Jr.

On Sunday April 16, 2023, God touch down at Karesh at Beechwood Long Term Nursing Facility calling his solider home. Eddie Johnson Jr. was born August 21,1955, to Elizabeth Johnson and the Late Eddie Johnson, Sr., in Camden, South Carolina. 

Eddie attended the public schools of Kershaw County, where he graduated from Camden High School.  From there, he enlisted in the United States Army. After retiring from the military, Eddie moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, where he resided and work in the school district as a chef for about 30 years before returning home to Camden. 

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Johnson, Sr.; one brother, Raymond Johnson; one stepsister, Melody Johnson; two brothers-in-law, Joseph McCargo and Clayton Hudson and a sister-in-law, Carol Lewis. 

Eddie was blessed with one daughter, Sabrina Johnson.  He also leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Elizabeth Johnson of Camden, SC; five siblings, Georgiana McCargo of Rembert, SC, Esther Hudson, Helen (Arthur) Alston, Kenneth Johnson and Larry Johnson all of Camden, SC; three adopted siblings, Linda Jiles and Pamela Jiles of Columbia, SC and Travis (Tarsha) Jiles of Camden, SC; three half siblings, Nick, Sonya and Michelle all of Norfolk, VA; two aunts, Odessa Jiles and Sadie (Robert) Jackson; one uncle, Jacob (Kathleen) Jiles of Camden, SC; a special niece, Ladiedra Mickens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
