Estella (Jefferson) Smith

Estella Jefferson Smith, affectionately known as "Mamie" was born on April 18, 1943, in Lugoff, South Carolina, to the late Valentine and Jannie Jefferson.  She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church.

She moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she married the late Rayfield Smith.  To this union were born three sons and two daughters.

She later moved to Montgomery, Alabama, where she resided until she departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayfield Smith; two daughters, Faye Smith and Jannie Jefferson and one son, Leroy Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Raymond Smith and Fredrick Smith; a devoted son, Johnny Ray (Deloris) Smith;; grandsons, LaKim Smith and Keith Smith; a granddaughther, Constance Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
