Gloria (Glory) Turner was a loving daughter, sister , mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Gloria left this world suddenly on 12/4/2023 at the age of 66 years old.
Gloria Turner was born on 5/26/1957 to the late Shirley-Ann Lipscomb in Camden South Carolina. Gloria's only sibling was the late Paul Lipscomb of New Haven Connecticut.
It's was there in her early life Gloria was raised in love by her ( Mama) as she would call her Niecy Gary Turner. Niecy loved and raised Gloria with all of her heart.
( Mama) her grandmother along with Gloria moved ro Brookyn NY in the late 1960's where she would spend the rest of her adult life.
Gloria graduated Prospect Heights High Shchool located in Brookyn NY in 1975.
Gloria spent most of her time going to Mount Sinai Catherdral located in Brooklyn NY in her childhod years. It was there that Gloria found her love for the lord. This love continued through her entire life. Gloria served God and her church devotedly.
Gloria was the loving mother to Sheon Turner, Matthew Turner, Tyrone Turner, Jerrell Turner, and a loving God mother to Adisson Evans who she helped to raise.
Gloria loved her boys with all of her heart. She loved her family, cooking, and going to family events. Gloria had a passion for science fiction and talked non stop about Godzilla and planet of the apes.
Gloria was soft spoken and willing to help and give and hand to anyone in need. Many family members who needed help passed through her doors making her house there home throughout her life.
Gloria loved life and working. Gloria worked as a Direct Care Counselor for many years In The Bronx NY, assisting indivulas with special needs.
Gloria joked and laughed. Helping others was her true calling. Gloria worker until her health no longer permitted her to.
Gloria was sad at not being able to work however, she devoted note time to her family and church.
Gloria attended Gloriouse Temple church of God located in Brookyn NY, where she worked as an usher until she became ill and was unable to do so.
Gloria loved God and did so by attending many church events and functions at GloriousTemple.
Gloria loved to spend time whenever she could with her three grandchildren Zevlyn Cooke, Samara Washington, Tyleah Frary, and her Godson Adisson Evans.Children were her love.
Later in life Gloria loved traveling, going on cruises, shopping, and she loved to eat. Most importantly, her love for the lord prevailed in her life and was shown by her actions.
Gloria will be missed dearly by her son, Sheon Turner of Camden South Carolina, (Grandson) Zevlyn Cooke, Matthew Turner of Brookly NY, Tyrone Turner of Brookyn NY, (Grandaughters) Samarah Washington and Tyleah Frary, Jerell Turner also of Brookyn NY, and one Godson Adisson Evans of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Gloria loved her circle of family and friends.
The family would also like to acknowledge two special beast friends who comforted and remained by her side in her last days Elizabeth and Linda of Brooklyn NY.
