Mr. Jack Abraham Murphy was born on December 17th, 1962, in Camden, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church. In his earlier years he worked for C. Ray Miles Construction and also A. P. Bowden Construction.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Woods Murphy, his father, Jack Egypt Murphy and his brother, Jerry Nathaniel Murphy.
Jack leaves to mourn his sad passing and to cherish his loving memories his wife, Sarah Louise Drakeford Murphy of Camden SC; one sister, Virginia Murphy of Camden SC; three children, Dale Drakeford, Dexter Drakeford and James Drakeford all of Camden SC; three grandchildren, Dale’trayza Brittingham, Quiana Drakeford and Zy’Cari Drakeford; two nephews, Martin (Marie) Haile and Jerry Haile both of Camden SC; two nieces, Jeanette Haile and Lashonda Haile both of Camden, SC; two great- nephews, Devon Huggins and Jeremiah Thomas both of Camden, SC; four great-nieces, Naisha Caldwell, Shalya Danzy, Na’aira Haile and Daviona Mickle all of Camden SC; one aunt, Priscilla Hunter of Camden SC; two brother-in-laws, Melvin Drakeford and Bobby (Beverly) Drakeford both of Camden SC; five close friends who were like brothers, Randy Woods, Mike Robinson, Charles Watkins, Tyrone Pearson, and Dewayne Dinkins all of Camden SC and a host of other relatives and friends.
