Jackie Couthen

Ms. Jackie Couthen entered into her eternal rest at Kershaw Health on Monday, May 27, 2019.

Born January 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mazerine Couthen.  Jackie was raised in Lansing Michigan, were she attended Eastern High School. Jackie was a cosmetologist in Lansing, MI before moving to South Carolina in the 80’s where she continued her cosmetology career in Sumter, SC for 30 plus years before retiring in 2017. Jackie was a faithful member of Pine Grove AME Church where she served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Inspirational Choir.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Henry Couthen and Mazerine Couthen; her sister Pearl Randleman; her brothers, Thomas Couthen and Bill Couthen.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her beloved son Jonathan Couthen of Rembert, SC. Her brothers, Arthur (Jennifer) Couthen of Atlantic City, NJ, Curtis (Michelle) Couthen of Lansing, MI, John (Earline) Graham of Rembert, SC, Samuel Couthen of Lansing, MI, Edward (Kellie) Couthen of OH, and Jeffrey Couthen of Lansing, MI; her sisters Rhonda Couthen of Lansing, MI, Teresa Burtley of Lansing, MI and Sabrina Brown-Hunt of Lansing, MI; and sister-in-law Catherine Couthen of Camden, SC.  Jackie’s treasured grandchildren, Daniel, Danasia, and David and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
