Ms. Joanne Carter was born in Camden, South Carolina on April 25, 1968, to the late Joe Johnnie Brisbon and Lugenia Carter Brisbon. She departed this life to go to her heavenly home on June 29, 2019.
She was educated in the Kershaw County Public School and furthered her education at Columbia Junior College where she majored in Fashion Merchandising.
Joanne attended St. Matthew United Methodist Church. She later moved to New York to be a care giver for her uncle, Thomas Carter. She was a loving, high spirited person. She also loved reading the Bible.
Joanne was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joe Johnnie Brisbon and Lugenia Carter Brisbon.
Joanne leaves to cherish her fond memories, her son, Shamir Jones; her step-father, Freddie Brisbon; her brothers and sisters, Woodrow Brown Glenda Lee, Rasayln Brown, Joe Solomon, Carl Cook, Elaine Porter, Chris Brown, Crystal (Derek) Franklin, Marie (Ricardo) Foster, Kevin Campbell, Sevin Campbell Keisha Brisbon and Joe Joe Brisbon; one aunt, Elouise “Hazel” Robinson; four uncles, George (Lottie) Brisbon, Willie (Polly) Carter, Jr, Curtis (Debbie) Brisbon, Andrew (Sara) Brisbon; a dear friend, Michelle Stuckey Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
