Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.” Psalms 34:8
Mr. Johnny Jerome Goodwin, Jr., lovingly known as “Nunny” or “Fatz” by his immediate family, passed away on July 20, 2024. He passed away surrounded by his family. Johnny, Jr., was the second of three children born to Johnny Goodwin, Sr. and Frances McKever Goodwin.
Johnny was raised in the close knit community of Camden, South Carolina, where he accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Johnny grew up in the church as a young man and continued his love for Christ in his adulthood.
Johnny was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County and graduated from Camden High School.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Johnny and Frances Goodwin, Sr.; his brother, Tyshaun D. Goodwin; a sister, Sherrie McKeever and a host of other relatives and friends.
“ For any one that received the opportunity to know my brother, I hope they experienced the hard working, funny, lovable person I loved. Watching him play basketball or watching the game together always brought me happiness and laughter. For those that played against us in the backyard, I hope you cherish those memories, I do. The family mourns the loss of our beloved son and brother and for you, a friend. Cry not! For we all will see him again.”
