Kelvin Marquis Campbell was born on August 28, 1983. Affectionately known by family and friends for his big heart and kind spirit, was born and raised in Camden, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Luanna Campbell Lyles and Mack Lyles, Jr. He passed away on October 8, 2025
Kelvin was educated in the Kershaw County School District and attended Camden High School. He was recently placed on disability but remained active and devoted to his family and community.
Kelvin was a devoted and faithful member of High Hill Baptist Church, where he worshiped and served with humility and love. He proudly served as President of the Brotherhood Ministry and was also a dedicated member of the Male Choir, the Usher Board, and the Kitchen Ministry. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Kelvin supported his church family in any way he could. His unwavering faith in God guided him through life’s challenges and triumphs.
Kelvin had a heart of gold — most evident in the care and devotion he gave to his niece and nephew, Julis Whitmore and Aliva Thomas, whom he lovingly raised as his own children. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Kelvin was preceded in death by his mother, Luanna Campbell Lyles. He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Mack (Linda) Lyles, Jr.; his loving sisters, Roshawanda Howard, Michelle Lyles, Bridget Lyles, and Adriana Lyles; his aunts, Dorothy Campbell and Rosa Mae Campbell; his aunt, Geraldine L. Scott; his uncles, Kavin (Lori) Campbell, Charles Lyles and Lawrence Lyles; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Kelvin will be remembered for his laughter, his love for family, and his unshakable faith in God. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit, kindness, and love will live on in all who knew him.
