Ms. LaShonda Jenice Jackson was born on July 11, 1971. She was the daughter of Phillip and Marilyn D. Jackson. Shonda answered our Heavenly Father’s call on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at MUSC Kershaw Health, in Camden, South Carolina. Shonda was raised in Lugoff, South Carolina, and attended the public schools of Kershaw County. She graduated from Lugoff–Elgin High School, class of 1989. She also attended Columbia College in 1992.
Shonda enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and NFL football; her favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoyed watching Sanford & Son and Good Times.
She was preceded in death by: brother, Rodney Maurice Jackson; grandparents, Clarence and Bennie Jackson and Thomasine Drummer; and uncles, Henry Brown, Seaborn Drummer and Clarence Jackson, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: father, Phillip Jackson of Camden, SC; mother, Marilyn Jackson of Lugoff, SC; brothers, Cheron (Toya) Jackson of Elgin, SC, and Antquon Maurice Jackson (Ashley) of Lugoff, SC; sister, Twanaysia Drummer of Lugoff, SC; aunts, Bridgett (Dan) Ford of Ridgeway, SC; Bennie Mae (godmother) Jackson of Lugoff, SC; uncle, Kenneth Drummer of Patterson, New Jersey; three great-aunts, Joyce (James) Chambers of Lugoff, SC; Ester Jackson of Lugoff, SC, and Pearlee Robertson of Lugoff, SC; one great-uncle, James Hill of Columbia, SC; her special, special friend, Michael J. Sutton; her adopted aunts, Priscilla Kinard (Nathaniel), Tena Richardson (James), Thomasina Kirkland, Nora Wimberly (Vernon); uncle, Daniel Murphy, Jr. (Patricia); and her babies, Janiya Blyther “Auntie Baby,” Tryus Drummer “Bill,” Tyron Jackson “Munchins,” and Tailynn Drummer “Emma.” These were her hearts.
