Lelia McCall Obituary

Leila Boykin McCall was born to the late Thomas and Maggie Stoney Boykin, on May 15, 1940.  She entered into eternal life on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Leila was married to the late Isaiah McCall.  She was educated  first at Sweet Home School then at Jackson Elementary School and graduated from Jackson High School.  She lived for a brief time in New York and Washington, DC, until she returned home with her husband and daughter to care for her father.  

She was a domestic caretaker for many years.  She was also employed by the Carolina Cup and Colonial Cup until her health began to fail. 
   
She was baptized at an early age and became a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.  She was also a member of Camden Elks Lodge that was founded by her brother, Lieutenant Willie Boykin.
       
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah McCall; her parents, Thomas and Maggie Boykin; her brothers, Levy Boykin, Lieutenant Willie Boykin and Thomas Boykin and one sister, Virginia Boykin.
    
She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her homegoing, her daughter, Della Boykin Lyles (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Toshia Boykin, Issac (Henrietta) Boykin and Khlies Boykin and Ali Boykin; ten great-grandchildren, Nyre Clark, Terrence Clark, Tyler Clark, Jordan Clark, Ja’Quan Brisbon, Ja’Veon Brisbon, Cory Jefferson, Tyreek Jefferson; great-great grandchildren, Jenesis Brisbon, Mallery Stevens Kyren Jefferson; sisters, Grace (Jerry) Mitchell and  Frances Boykin; one sister-in-law, Delores Boykin and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
