Mr. Lenwood “Len” Kelley, son of the late Edward Kelley and Odessa Eleby Kelley, was born on February 2, 1941, in Bethune, South Carolina. He departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 26th, 2023, at Spring Memorial.
Len professed his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee Board, the Church Choir, and the Men’s Choir.
Lenwood started working at Kendall in 1966 until his retirement in 2001. He worked there for thirty-five years. After his retirement, Len owned and operated a car detailing business in Kershaw until his health started to fail. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, which included four generations.
Lenwood was preceded in death by his sister, Maggie Mae Kelley.
His life will forever be cherished by his loving wife Johnnie M. Kelley; daughters, Michelle Kelley Hudson (Darrell) and Pamela Kelley Holliday (James); three stepsons, Robert Blakeney and Jesse Blakeney; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Edward Kelley (Euzelia) and Charles Kelley; a sister, Karen Newman (Robert); one nephew; three nieces; special mention, Kermelo and Lenwood Gerald and a host of other relatives and friends.
