Mr. Leroy McClinton, Jr., 46 years old, was born in Camden, South Carolina, on April 23, 1975, to the late Leroy and Pearline McClinton, Sr. His in-laws are Charles and Delores Stuckey of Camden, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
Leroy attended Kershaw County Public Schools and was a graduate of North Central High School, Class of 1993. He also went to Job Corp and worked in heating and air conditioning. He was employed by Shiloh-Randolph Manor in Sumter, SC, from 2016 to the present. He loved his job and co-workers and enjoyed helping the individuals he served. Leroy was a member of Good Hope AME Zion Church and transferred his membership to St. Stephen Baptist Church, where he was baptized and served as a Trustee. He served until his death.
Leroy was a loving person with a beautiful soul. He touched many lives and will be missed. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Monica McClinton of Rembert, SC; three daughters, Niara Zy’Asha McClinton, Maiya Brown, and Faith McClinton, all of Rembert, SC; two grandsons, Mason Scott and Aiden Scott; four sisters, Janice Glover of Rembert, SC, and Earline (Lou) Sutton, Jackie (Jerry) Favor, and Vickie McClinton, all of Camden, SC; four brothers, Joe (Kita) McClinton of Chesterfield, SC, Charles McClinton of Camden, SC, Chris (Tiffany) McClinton of Columbia, SC, and Stoney McClinton of Lugoff, SC; seven aunts; three uncles and a host of nieces and nephews..
