Lewis Kirkland

Lewis Kirkland departed his life peacefully January 17, 2020.  He was born January 5, 1943, to the late John C. and Cora Kirkland Sr.  He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Almina Alexander and his brother, John C Kirkland Jr.

He attended the Kershaw County School system and join the military in 1961. He returned home to Kershaw, South Carolina in 1992 and lived out the remainder of his life in his family home.

Lewis leaves to cherish his fond memories his daughter, Sharnae Wilson, Philadelphia, PA; four siblings, James Kirkland, Kershaw SC, Rosa Mae Lassiter, Philadelphia, PA, Charles Kirkland, Philadelphia, PA and Carolyn Washington, Englewood, NJ; two sisters-in-law; Joyce Kirkland and Diane Kirkland and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, other relatives and friends.
