Mrs. Louise H. Harrison was born on July 17, 1949; in Lee County, South Carolina, to the late Little Son Batts and Sallie Bell Haggins. She entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2023 after a long term illness.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph H. Harrison, and brothers, Sonny Terry and Kevin Davis.
Sis. Louise was educated in the Lee County Public School system. She worked for Springs Textiles in Kershaw, SC and Mar Mac in McBee, SC. She worked many years as a housekeeper, babysitter, and was a wonderful cook. Sis. Louise was a faithful member of Sandy Level Baptist Church in Bethune, SC where she was dedicated to serving the Lord and savior Jesus Christ; serving on the Senior and Women Choirs, Pastor’s Aid Committee, and the Kitchen Committee until her health declined. She was known for her kind heart, soft spoken words, and love for her children and grandchildren. She was a GEM and the ROCK of her family. She will definitely be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy of love; three sons Leon Haggins of South Congaree, SC, Timothy Harrison, and Taja Davis both of Bethune, SC; four daughters Pamela Hough (Anthony) of South Congaree, SC, Alma (William) Jennings of Jefferson, SC, Opal (DeWayne) Ponds of McBee, SC, and Teresa Haggins of Camden, SC, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vera (Ronnie) Harmon, of Goldsboro, NC, Thomasina Brown of Conway, SC, and Helen Phillips of McBee, SC; two brothers Timothy (Bonita) Davis of South Congaree, SC and Theodore Brown of NJ; a special niece, Lateecha Davis of Bethune, SC; special nephew; Tevin Brown of Conway, SC; three sisters-in-law, Euzelia (James) Kelley, Mary Jackson and Betty Harrison all of Bethune, SC; four brothers-in law, Levern (Judie) Harrison of Detroit, MI, William Harrison of Lexington, NC, James Harrison of Bethune, SC and Allen Harrison of Leesburg, VA; one aunt, Jessie Haggins, of Bethune SC; one uncle, Henry Martin of Columbia, SC; special friends, Mrs. Betty King, Ms. Oree Blackwell, and Teressa Jett all of Bethune, SC and a host of other family members and friends. Louise will be remembered by all that knew her for the love she had for her family and friends.
