Ms. Mable “Sheba” Holliday, daughter of the late Mr. Samuel and Mary Moses Holliday, was born on July 14, 1943, in Boykin, South Carolina. On the evening of May 11, 2022, Mable quietly slipped away to be with the Lord at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital.
Mable attended the public schools of Kershaw County. She worked at the Kershaw County School District for a number of years and was later employed at Dupont, where she retired.
She joined Good Hope United Methodist Church at an early age, and she served faithfully in multiple capacities, to include church financial secretary and chair of trustee, until her health failed. Mable enjoyed life until the very end. Mable loved fishing, enjoying her daily times with the neighborhood cats, and spending time with family and friends.
Mable was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel “Joe Lewis” Holliday, Wash “Chuck” Holliday; and sisters, Mary “Mae B” Bennett, Rosa Holmes.
Although Mable had no biological children, she leaves behind tons of family to cherish her memories. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her sisters, Francenia Warren of Camden, SC, Suzannah Holliday of Camden, SC, Easter Barnhill of Camden, SC; her brothers, Isiah “Ike” (Geraldine) Holliday of Camden, SC; James (Pam) Holliday of Camden, SC; Thomas (Edna) Holliday of Orangeburg, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
