Marvin Jett

Mr. Marvin Jett, the son of the late James and Sallie K. Hough Jett, was born on March 5, 1947.  He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Prisma Health Heart Hospital, in Columbia, South Carolina.
  
Marvin attended Carver Elementary School. He worked in the textile industry for many years as a doffer at Springs Industries in Camden, South Carolina.  Marvin truly loved his children and his grandchildren.  He loved fishing, gardening, spending time with family and watching his favorite television shows.  He fought the good fight until the end.
  
Marvin leaves to cherish his fond memorieshs wife, Teressa Jett of Bethune, SC; four sons, Marvin A. Turner, Shan Turner and Ron Turner all of Bethune, SC and Marvin Thomas of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Tanisha Baskins of Bethune, SC, Tonya (Michael) Walden of Cassatt, SC and Margetta (Craig) Ashford  of Columbia, SC; four brothers, Thomas (Mable) Jett and Robert (Willie Bell) Jett both of Bethune, SC, Jerry Clark of Bishopville, SC and William (Elizabeth) Gooden of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Willie Mae (Robert) Hairston of Brooklyn, NY and Martha (Eddia) Shannon of Cassatt, SC; his mother-in-law, Margaret Smith of Ossining, NY; three sisters-in-law, Martha Jett of Bethune, SC, Carol Smith of Ossining NY and Denise Shaw of Palm Coast, FL; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren an a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
