Mildred Simon Powell was born on October 23rd, 1951, in Rembert, South Carolina, to the late James and Charlotte Simon. She entered into eternal rest on December 5th, 2025, at her home in Camden, South Carolina.
Mildred graduated from Ebenezer High School of Dalzell, SC, in 1969. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church in Rembert, South Carolina, where she was a devoted member until her marriage in 1972, when she moved her membership to Broom Hill Baptist Church in Rembert, South Carolina where she worked faithfully until her last days.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her siblings: Morris Simon, Willie Simon, Edward Simon, Lillie Mae Simon, and Lester Reed.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, LC of Camden, SC; two sons, Tremayne and LC, Jr. both of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Jasmine Powell of Sumter, SC; two grandchildren, Damion Powell and Tajuan Powell of Lugoff, SC; seven siblings, Louise China of Rembert, SC, Leroy Simon of Austin, TX, Arthur (Gail) Simon of Rembert, SC, Elease Lloyd of Bishopville, SC, Anthony (Joyce) Simon of Rembert, SC, Ralph (Sandra) Simon of Laurens, SC and Patricia Simon of Rembert, SC; three sisters-in- law; Katina, Gail, Nadine and a host of nieces and nephews.
