On February 9, 2021, Nellie departed this life at Spartanburg Rehab and Wellness Center, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Murray and Ellen McCord. She resided at Springdale Health for more than fourteen years, her home away from home and known by all at the facility.
Nellie worked for many years until she became ill. She loved good religious music and all the activities at the center. She loved the Lord, He gave her strength to bear all she went through. The good Lord carried her in His arms to a beautiful place with no more pain.
She leaves to mourn her daughter, Mary E. Jones (Andrew) of Pittsburgh, PA; one granddaughter, Andreana Ferguson of Baltimore, MD; one grandson, Andrew Jones, Jr. (Janelle) of Avon, CT; three great-grandchildren, Kamaria Ferguson, Sydney Jones and Chase A. Jones; one great-grand, Ayvah Pratt; two sisters, Pearl Drakeford and Elease Williams of Camden, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
