Otis Wayne Lloyd, son of Parker Lloyd, Sr. And Geneva Cook Lloyd, was born on April 5, 1961. He departed this life at his home on February 12, 2021.
Wayne graduated for Ashwood Central High School, in Bishopville, SC. He joined the South Carolina National Guard when he was a senior. He retired from the Army National Guard after twenty years of service. He also served as a combat engineer with the United States Army.
Wayne joined Springhill United Methodist Church at an early age. More recentlyhe used his gifts to make the manger for the Christmas plays at Springhill and New Haven.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Wayne, our compassionate jokester was the favorite uncle of his nieces and nephews.” Missing him now and from now on are his eight brothers, and sisters, Odonnell of Laurel, MD, Nehemiah. Charles (Jessie), Belva, Jackie and Peggy (Jimmie) Duncan all of Rembert, SC, Sadie Carson of Columbia, SC and Margaret (Hudson) Wilson of Elliot, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends.
