Sally Ann Witherspoon-Johnson was born February 26, 1969 in New Haven, CT. She was one of twenty-one children born to the late Sally and John Arthur Witherspoon. She enjoyed being a member of Bible Way Church of Sumter, she loved her husband and children, she enjoyed being a grandmother, and most of all she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Witherspoon, father John Witherspoon, five sisters Pearly, Ann, JoAnn, Regina Witherspoon, Elizabeth Scott; three brothers, John, Johnny, Willie Witherspoon, and three grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband Sammie Johnson Jr. of Rembert, SC; 5 children Tyleshia Witherspoon of Wedgefield, SC; Brittany Witherspoon of Bishopville, SC; Brandon Witherspoon of Columbia, SC; Taylor Scarborough of Sumter, SC; Tyler Scarborough of Camden, SC; 8 grandchildren Bella and James Burns, Ty’Leah and Takiya Spann, Brooklyn Sprague, Royalty and Ari Witherspoon, Riley Scarborough; seven sisters, Mary Smith and Lauralee(Earl) Hylton of Columbia, SC; Cynthia(Ronald) Richardson of Dalzell, SC; Carrie(Jeremy) Blyther of Wedgefield, SC; Barbara Witherspoon of Georgia; Geneva(Ron) Perkins and Annette Scott of New Haven, CT; eight brothers, Samuel(Tiffany) Witherspoon of Dalzell, SC; Henry(Calandra) Witherspoon of Columbia, SC; Arthur Lee(String Bean) Witherspoon, Billy Scott, and Tony Witherspoon of New Haven, CT; Steven(Charlette) Witherspoon of Sumter, SC; Mathew “Mackey” Witherspoon of IN; Arthur Witherspoon of AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
