Walter James Ballard, Jr. was born on September, 6, 1965, in Camden, South Carolina, to the late, Walter James Ballard, Sr. and the late Edith Mae Brown Ballard.
Walter was better known as Sea Turtle” to all that knew him. He worked at Camden House of Pizza, Piggly Wiggly and Kennedy Barber Shop. He later moved to New Jersey, where he worked at The Broadway Pizzeria for thirty-one years. He was loved by everyone especially his boss, Mario Perry.
Walter loved spending his time with family and friends. He just enjoyed life. He never complained about anything and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
Walter was called home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021, at the age of 55. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his siblings, Yvonne Ballard of New York, Katherine Ballard and Elease Ballard-Truesdale (Robert) both of Camden, SC; Tyrone Workman, Joseph Workman, Lisa Workman and Mary Workman (Sammy) all of Camden, SC; a very special nephew, Marvin Jahiem Thompson; four aunts, Yvonne Workman of Camden, SC, Margaret Brown of New Jersey, Maggie Ballard and Marie Ballard both of Camden, SC; a very special cousin that looked out for him when he moved to New Jersey, Bruce D. Cunningham (Nicole) and his special friend, Yvonne Morton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
