On Friday, January 14, 2022. God called to rest one of His sons, Mr. Willie Carter, Jr. He was born on August 4, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Mr. Willie “Dick” Carter, Sr. and the late Lilian M. Stuckey Carter.
He attended the public schools Washington, DC. JR or “Shocker”, as he was called, was a hard working and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He worked many jobs and retired from Thermoid in Camden, South Carolina after working for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Willie “Dick” Carter, Sr. and the late Lilian M. Stuckey Carter; two sisters, Patricia Carter and Lugenia “Lue” Carter Brisbon; two brothers, James Lee Allen and Rickey Carter.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Polly Brisbon Carter; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva (Andrew) Pearson of Florence, SC; one grandson, Mr. Andrew (Amani) Pearson of Florence, SC; one granddaughter, Andrea (Isaiah) Henry of Florence, SC; one sister, Ms. Dianne Cooper of Philadelphia, PA; two brothers, Mr. Tyrone Carter and Mr. Jerome Carter both of Baltimore, MD; one brother-in-law, Mr. Glen Brisbon of Newwark, NJ; a special cousin, Mr. Otis Carter of Camden, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
