In response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus Pandemic, and in an effort to ensure the safety and health of our families and the community as a whole, we will be following the guidelines and recommendations instituted by the state and federal government. As a part of our social distancing practice, we ask that physical contact be limited during visitation to the funeral home and that there are no groups larger than 3 at any time during visitations. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
In special types of funeral service following cremation, the urn is taken beyond the three-mile zone into open waters of the sea and the captain scatters the deceased's remains over the water. The deceased's loved ones will receive a commemorative certificate including the exact location of the burial and an excerpt from the ship's log. On request, the family of the deceased may also be present during the burial at sea.
Haile's Funeral Home always goes the extra mile to make sure your loved one's homegoing celebration is memorable for the family, because we sincerely care about the families we are privileged serve.
Doves Released into the Heavens
The releasing of the doves symbolizes the soul being released into the sky and this passage is located in the bible in Psalms 55 verses 4 - 6 and it says " My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. And I said, "oh that I had wings like a dove! for then I would fly away, and be at rest."
